Connecting with like-minded people and enterprises across this planet is one of the small pleasures I have enjoyed during this unusual time in history. One of these folks has been Bryn Llewellyn and I’d like to introduce him to you and his work at Tagtiv8.
Bryn’s mission is quite simple – to create educational resources and training that develop confidence in key areas of the curriculum – such as maths and literacy – through physical activity. Most recently, Bryn has been helping schools re-open while respecting new physical-distancing protocols.
As a teacher himself, he totally gets how difficult it is right now to manage a jam-packed curriculum and adhere to ever-changing hygiene and physical-distancing measures. He also understands that there were not enough opportunities for students to move and learn, so he developed a program called PAL – Physically Active Learning.
Bryn developed Tagtiv8 to create ideas and games – with children and teachers – to redress the balance. Working with schools throughout the UK, he was able to successfully create a wide variety of group games with a multitude of benefits he has assembled within his Tagtiv8 enterprise.
These win-win solutions for health and education can be seen in his TEDx Talk with Dr Andy Daly-Smith and will feature in a future blog post here.
Imagine teaching your core curriculum – mathematics and literacy, for example – while your students are actively moving their bodies. That’s what Tagtiv8 offers and it’s quite simply, amazing. Check out the video below to see it in action.
Their work has started to spread all over the world because their games and resources have tapped into children’s love of moving and learning.
Tagtiv8 is ideally suited to help your school maximise the impact of physical activity and meet critical curriculum learning outcomes.
