Great for reinforcing names. Such an important part of the program as often times we assume that the group all know each other when in fact they do not.
Example where we get lots of school groups, is when a group come in middle of the school year and because of different class or home rooms, participants still do not know each others names.
Always good to check how well the groups know each other, starting with names at the start of camp.
You make a great point David about mixed groups arriving mid-year. The presumption that everyone knows each other does not often hold water.
