Clap Trap

Clap Trap – Rhythmic Energiser

1. Break your group into pairs.
2. Ask for a volunteer, and invite everyone to gather around you and your partner to demonstrate the basic moves.
3. Introduce small pieces of the full routine one bit at a time – the start, the 1-2-3 build-up, the 3-2-1 break-down, and the re-start sequence.
4. Demonstrate one piece of the routine at a time, allowing for all other pairs to practice.
5. Once all of the pieces have been learned, attempt the full routine all at once.
6. Allow pairs to practice the routine at their own pace.
7. When appropriate, challenge the group to identify two people who can continue the routine in an un-broken pattern – up and down – for as long as possible.
