Alphabet Equations – Number Puzzle Game
In advance, download the Print+Play ‘Alphabet Equation’ cards from the Resources tab, or create your own set.
Place the cards face up on the floor or table, and ask your group to gather around them.
Instruct your group to solve the ‘equations’ displayed on the cards by guessing the common phrase or expression to which the capitalised letters belong.
When an equation is solved, move the card to the side (or flip over.)
Continue until all ‘equations’ have been solved.

Thank you for your recent blog post with a 1 hour program. It did not all completely work for my group, but I decided to try some new things. I did start with this activity, on one table is they arrived and on a second table I had some wordles laid out for them to solve. It’s funny to watch people’s reaction to numbers versus letters. However, once they got started they love these. I have two pairs laminated and planned to use them regularly. Thank you so much for the suggestion and resource
What an amazing ‘Walk in Activity’. I use this activity a lot at workshops to spark conversations as delegates are arriving. Conversations always flow and bit by bit delegates breakdown barriers and find common links between each other.
