Step-by-Step Instructions

This moving energiser circle game combines physical movement with playful sharing. All My Neighbours transforms a simple seating arrangement into a fun group game that gets everyone mixing and mingling. Teachers and group facilitators value how this icebreaker naturally encourages interaction whilst creating energy through movement and laughter. The blend of active play and group energiser elements makes it perfect for youth groups, classrooms or workshops where breaking down barriers matters.

All My Neighbours – Moving Energiser Circle Game
  1. Form a circle, preferably sitting in seats, facing inwards.
  2. Each person’s goal is to move around the circle, one seat at a time, and return to the seat they started in.
  3. To move seats, a person must answer “YES” to a question that is posed by another member of the group.
  4. All moves are in one direction only (eg clock-wise.)
  5. To demonstrate, ask the first question, and invite all those who need to move to shift into the seat to their immediate left-hand side.
  6. If one or more people happen to be in that seat, the person moving is permitted to sit on their lap.
  7. If three people are already positioned on a seat, the fourth person will simply stand behind the seated person.
  8. Anyone may ask a question, or you may choose to adopt a particular system to share this role.
  9. Continue until someone returns ‘home’ or your group is exhausted.
