This group reflection exercise transforms ordinary reflection time into an engaging, colour-coded experience. Coloured Ball Debrief introduces a unique debriefing activity that naturally encourages every participant to contribute meaningfully to the discussion. Coloured-Ball Debrief – Group Reflection Exercise
  1. In advance, collect a number of different coloured items in a bag.
  2. Assemble your group into a circle.
  3. Announce that you have a bag with several coloured items inside it.
  4. When the bag is passed around the circle, ask each person to randomly pull one item out.
  5. Each colour represents a different topic of conversation.
  6. Describe what each of the different colours mean, eg yellow means a highlight.
  7. Pass the bag to the first person, and invite them to share their thoughts according to the colour of the item they pull out of the bag.
  8. Continue passing the bag, inviting everyone to share.
